1854-1945. Born in Greenock and showed a strong artistic skill from an early age. Studied in Scotland and later on in Paris, before returning to settle in Paisley. Exhibited regularly with the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Glasgow Institute and the Royal Scottish Watercolour Society.
